New 2025 - GPS TRACKER

This year, all movements on the water will be monitored by a GPS tracking system to ensure competitors remain within their defined waters and do not encroach on other swims or no-fishing zones.

  • Tracker installation: Marshals will securely attach a GPS tracker to each team’s main boat during boat check. Only this boat may be used on the water.
  • Changing boats: If a GPS needs to be moved to another boat, only a marshal can do this, following the same procedure.
  • Boundary points: On receiving the GPS tracker, each team will receive their GPS-defined points. Teams must fish strictly within these boundaries.
  • Setup time: Teams have a maximum of 3 hours from competition start to set their points. After this, GPS devices are activated and penalties apply.

Prohibited activities outside boundaries (penalties apply):

  • Baiting, casting, using a fish finder, or fishing outside defined waters.
  • First offence: Yellow Card + 12-hour fishing ban.

Additional sanctions:

  • Fishing (casting, rigging, playing a fish) from a boat without a GPS tracker = Yellow Card + 12-hour ban & all fish caught to that time disqualified.
  • Tampering with or attempting to remove the GPS device = immediate disqualification.

End of event:

  • Competitors must return the GPS tracker undamaged to the Results Desk to get their deposit back. All being processed using Stripe.
  • Trackers not returned by Saturday 18:00 will be considered as lost, and deposit not refunded.

Deposit & Refund

  • A £250 deposit per device will be processed via Stripe at registration, ensuring the refund goes directly to the person who made the payment.

At the end of the competition, participants will complete a form to indicate their choice: either request a refund which will be initiated immediately or apply the deposit towards World Carp Classic 2026, saving you the hassle of repeated bank transfers and fees.
