The World Carp Classic is a great opportunity for the fishery students of Sparsholt College to experience the top end of angling competition, to meet important people in the industry, make contacts, and show themselves and the college to the fishing industry.  I have been working with the World Carp

I guess that working behind the scenes, helping with the publicity and media related components of the World Carp Classic as I do, and being privy to a lot of the type of detail that competitors thirst for, it may be seen as a nice bonus. Well, I guess it is. It’s certainly interesting if not advantageous, however, it can at times be a bit of burden to know certain things, especially exciting aspects that cannot be spoken about until the time is right and the crossing of all the t’s and dotting of I’s has been finalised.

It’s show time!

Angling Spirit is delighted to announce that the company will be present at many shows this season and in addition to the Carp Society show at Sandown (UK), and The Ponty Show in Hungary that we attended at the back end of last year, we will be there to meet and greet at several other shows.

We are delighted to announce that UK Company, Rod Box will be section sponsors for the event to be held at Lake Bolsena in 2012.  "We are extremely pleased to be section sponsors for the World Carp Classic" said Mark Hunter of Rod Box. We are happy to announce that the new SBS website www.sbsbaits.com is available in 6 languages with a unified design for Carp anglers worldwide.  A webshop offering products with detailed descriptions is part of the website. Also various video materials and articles offer Carp anglers valuable information to widen their knowledge and acquire many new tricks and practices.

We are extremely pleased to inform you that the onsite facilities at Bolsena are superb and that we have formalised an agreement with a large tackle shop very close to the lake. The shop is able to provide a boat hire service for the event to include electric motors, batteries and all of the necessary equipment required to be compliant with the World Carp Classic boat standards.

The facilities on site at Lake Bolsena are absolutely ideal, and with such fantastic assets being placed at our disposal I really believe that together we will be able to take the World Carp Classic to a whole new level in 2012. Working together with our gracious hosts and event partners we are confident that we can build still further upon this the following year for the 15th Anniversary of the World Carp Classic.
