French Success Print Email

Once again competitors from all corners of Europe gathered at Lac d'Orient to battle for the title of 2007 World Carp Classic champions.

We are proud to say that the event, which gathered interest from as far afield as South Africa, was hailed by all as a massive success despite the tough conditions and lack of fish banked.

In total, only five fish were recorded, but a further 25 were sadly lost due to a variety of reasons.  It is fair to say that a good deal of bad luck plagued contestants from the very first minutes of day one until the last minutes of day 6, with fish lost at both extremes.

The eventual, and deserved winners of the WCC 2007 were French duo, Jean Pierre Becker and Yves Hauk with Jean Pierre banking a glistening orient jewel of 22.100kg.  Many congratulations go to this popular pair, it was a fantastic moment for you both, and also for French Carp Anglers.
