The facilities on site at Lake Bolsena are absolutely ideal, and with such fantastic assets being placed at our disposal I really believe that together we will be able to take the World Carp Classic to a whole new level in 2012. Working together with our gracious hosts and event partners we are confident that we can build still further upon this the following year for the 15th Anniversary of the World Carp Classic.
To give you a flavour of what to expect for 2012, we will be using one of the original horse drawn chariots as used in the blockbuster films Ben Hur and Gladiators, complete with beautiful white Horses The chariot will lead a band and the competitors in a spectacular parade from the castle in Bolsena to the town square. The route through the streets to the square will be closed for the event, and will be fully branded with WCC and sponsors banners. The town square is the location of a magnificent 9th century building that we will be using for the opening and closing ceremonies, and to embrace the theme we have organised a fanfare in full Roman Centurion dress.
We are sure that next year will be very special, and that the World Carp Classic experience will provide competitors with everlasting good memories.
