![]() Over the bank holiday weekend the Spanish qualifying event took place, on the Orellana reservoir in Extremadura, with great success. Many congratulations go to Andy MacGregor and the team in Spain. The lake is know for being quite slow with regards to fish, a tough lake to catch in. Despite this the event exceeded all the previous fishing competitions’ records. The anglers benefited from being spaced out nicely on the bank and consequently the total caught was 725.75kg of fish over 5kg. The winning pair caught 40 fish with a total of 369.5kg. Over half of the anglers competing caught and were impressed to explore and fish parts of the lake that they didn’t even know existed. We will be bringing you more information and pictures as soon as possible from the Spanish event.
