To celebrate it's 10th anniversary, Pescalis will on the 20th May officially open a new lake within their magnificent estate in a grand high profile ceremony.

Unique in Europe Pescalis is not only a must for a family holiday but it offers anglers of all abilities the opportunity to enjoy fishing at its best. A must if you want to practice ahead of the World Carp Classic and knowing that there is something to do  for the entire  family is a bonus.

Pescalis the first international nature & fishing centre in Europe, at Moncoutant in the deux Sevres department, in the poitou Charentes region.

A new concept in tourism which brings together the pleasures of angling & countryside holidays on a complex exceeding 150 hectares.

A paradise for the expert or novice angler, Pescalis has 100 hectares of lakes appreciated for their diversity.

Accomodation includes 3 stars self-catering apartments, a stars hotel, 2 stars gites and a stars campsite.

During your stay you will find many activities & services provided by the site.

Lastly, due to its location, you will be able to visit many tourist sites of the region (Marais Poitevin (40mn), Puy du Fou (40mn), Futuroscope (50mn), or La Rochelle (60mn).

Pescalis spirit

Created in 2000, in an area of 150 hectares, Pescalis is the first international nature & fishing center in Europe. Situated in the heart of the Deux-Sèvres department in western France, in the poitou charentes region. 
Here, birds, frogs and  toads, insects and fish cohabit the luxuriant wetlands in peaceful tranquillity.Pescalis invites you to discover the natural surroundings where our catch-and release policy benefits all.

When you return your catch to the water, everyone benefits, but that doesn’t mean they will be an easy catch in the future. We are committed to offering great angling in a quality environment.Pescalis is a complex of almost 100 hectares of lakes, appreciated by anglers for the diversity of its waters which cover all angling requirements.Our friendly staff are available from your arrival and throughout your stay to provide assistance, information and even coaching, if required. We aim to provide an outstanding angling venue, which respects the fish, together with quality accommodation and leisure facilities. 

Everyone from novice to expert and lovers of the open –air will be delighted.

“NO KILL” being our motto.We encourage methods which minimise suffering (barbless hooks, unhooking mats, etc, …)

To cater for the needs of the modern angler, Pescalis combines respect for the environment and the fish in a sporting and active way.

Fishing in a safe ,preserved environment that is unique to Pescalis: water quality, superb surroundings, an enriched angling experience. 

No kill

Treat the fish with the utmost respect. Without exception, all fish to be returned to the water alive.

The technics

Pescalis has many waters, allowing for many differing fishing techniques and is open all year. Many species of fish can be captured (pike, zander,carp, catfish, black-bass and sturgeon, …)

It offers the chance for beginner to expert alike to practise many different styles, for family and individuals.

Whatever your style of angling, you will be amazed at the variety of locations, techniques and species that are available at Pescalis.

Fly, lure or bait fishing, float, leger or carp fishing instill or flowing water. Half-day, day or week fishing permits are available (no separate permit is required for river fishing).

To cover all requirements the following services are available: night-fishing, tips, tackle hire, access for the handicapped, coaching for the young (and not so young!), competitions, sessions with experts: the list goes on.

The environmental quality of the fishing zones ( water, access, landscape, etc,…) as well as the size of fish, are essential criteria for the success of this project.
