As you probably know base mixes do not work properly on muddy lake bottoms. The main problem is that almost all venues where we fish do have muddy bottoms. Anglers usually look for spots with snags and bars. These spots are under pressure and fish are starting to stop feeding there. Almost all carp feed on muddy bottoms, more than they are used to doing in another parts of the lake. The reason for this is simple. On muddy bottoms fish can find natural food like worms, bloodworms and mussels. I believe that every keen angler has been in the situation when he can see fish showing around his spot but has no take and no fish in the net. Also if you want to be successful when fishing venues with a muddy bottom it is important to have boilie (bait) made especially for this style of fishing. We have produced a special ingredient which reduces the absorbtion of the smell of the mud. This ingredient also offers the spreading out of all the attractive qualities and aminoacids from boilie into the water. During the two years that we have been testing it we have had a great success while fishing muddy bottoms. All boilies failed except the one which contained this special ingredient which has been produced by our company and you can find it in all of our base mixes except 50/50 Base Mix. I have personally been fishing using these improved base mixes and I have landed five carps over 20 kg on venues with muddy bottoms. Most of my bait was unsuccessful except for this one. As you have also noticed we have changed the colour of the bucket from white into black. It has been proven that base mix packed up in a black bucket does not absorb sunlight and has a longer expiry date. Jaroslav Těšínský – Jet Fish
