We are pleased to announce that Angling Spirit will be attending the CarpItaly show on the 11th/12th February at Gonzaga, Italy. CarpItaly can proudly boast that it has been the premier show in Italy since its inception and is now being staged for the 14th time.
Ross Honey told us; “I’m very pleased to be attending a show of such a high standard, particularly because it is within this year’s host country for the World Carp Classic. “The popularity of this carp & catfish extravaganza continues to build year on year and it is not difficult to understand why when you look through the event itinerary.”
Among the many stands, forums and attractions, the staging of Miss CarpItaly will again be very popular and something which issure to attract a big crowd. Directly following the bevy of beauties is Angling Spirit head honcho Ross Honey, who will step up on stage sharply behind the ladies to strut his stuff and make his presentation. (Note to self: try to resist the jokes!)… Coincidentally, it is rumoured that Ross plans to be there behind the scenes quite early so as to prepare himself for action - which he happily informs us is in close proximity to the Miss CarpItaly changing room. Ross then left the office rubbing his hands together vigorously while quietly mumbling something about fishnets, or was it fish nets? We’re unsure exactly what he meant, but we will keep you reliably informed should more information be forthcoming. (For ‘forthcoming’, please read ‘thought up’)

After a close-run competition, the panel decided that Scaramuccino Antonia, 29, of Soresina (Cr), was to be declared Miss Carpitaly 2011. • More than six thousand visitors filled the show last year. Visitors were not only Italians but had travelled from many other countries to give the exhibition a cosmopolitan atmosphere which carried international character.
