 SBS baits were established over 30 years ago and were one of the earliest bait companies in the UK. The brand quickly went on to become etched into the minds of discerning anglers and the company was firmly established as being one of the best and most popular ever. In more recent years the company had changed hands but not its reputation, and it is now enjoying a very positive and healthy transition period. Having met Zoltan Kavacs, the SBS MD several times, at the WCC in 2010 and also at Carp shows, I am very pleased to announce that SBS are going to be Section sponsors of the WCC in 2011. In my dealings with Zoltan and SBS I have been suitably impressed as to what a good and well managed company they are - Zoltan has always done what he said he would do, and when he said he would do it. Having met several times now, I am looking forward to working with the company both now and in the future. I am aware that they have had some issues regarding the acquisition of the brand from Des Taylor but, to the best of my knowledge they have done so correctly, fully respecting the terms of the agreement. First becoming acquainted with SBS products in 2001, Zoltan then went on in 2003 to become the distributor of SBS products in Hungary, and for the next five years he was very active in the development of SBS products. Then, In 2008, Zoltan took possession of the trade-mark, suppliers, distributors and all of the equipment and recipes and is now the owner of Original SBS Tactical Bait Products, registering certified ownership of SBS Bait Products as a trade-mark, in June 2010. |
