Just got back from Madine where the weather was hot and sunny. There were several anglers from different countries that were practicing in advance of the competition. Apart from being in several hours of meetings with the on site team and authorities Andy Chambers Alain Renard and I went to finalise the location of the pegs.
The new areas look great or at least they will do at the time of the competition. At the moment some of them will require 30 feet or more of brambles, trees and undergrowth cleared. Having battled my way through the views from the bank were amazing. There definitely have not been any carp anglers fishing from these spots, of that we are certain. It is going to be very interesting to see what they produce. One thing that is for sure is that they will be lovely areas to fish from and comfortable for the competitors. I will get the footage edited this evening and get it up on the site in the video section for you to see what I mean. |
