Hi everyone, and welcome to my first WCC blog Many of you reading this will possibly know me from the competition, as I’ve been a regular participant in it and have fished in matches held on Lac Amance, Lac D’Orient and of course Madine.
There was a bit a change in the weather yesterday and it started to cloud over and hopefully signalling a change in conditions which may bring the carp on the feed. One problem on this stretch is the lack of angling pressure and so the carp probably only see boilies 10 days a year and quite possibly some of them have never see one, living on naturals majority of the time so it can be a challenge.
Made it onto the river at last, a week late but it is looking in fine condition. It looked like I might catch one on the last night on the lake as the fishing started to crash over the baited areas for the first time in a week but it was not to be.
Well, I made it! I’m on English soil at long last. I landed on the 12th of July, and suffice to say it has been quite mad since my arrival, what with catching up with relies and mates, and at the same time hankering to get to some sort of carpy venue for a fish.
