Well, I’ve got the buzz now as I’m packing my bags and getting ready for the off later tonight. This will be the last blog from me here in the UK, and the next you hear from me will be from Madine so bring it on, I can’t wait!

 With just a few days to go before the starting rocket launches into the Madine sky, our final preparations for this years World Carp Classic are being wrapped up by penning the last few ticks on our epic check list.

Midweek, another lost fish to us and yet more good news from our friends… they had banked a lovely Madine mirror of 38.12. Great stuff! Meanwhile, we persevered in our attempts to combat the difficult nature of our swim and simply needed a little more time, and runs, to find the right solution to the conundrum.

Remembering the specific angling conditions of my previous trip, three colleagues and myself decided to spend a week fishing on Madine in preparation for the WCC with the intention of learning something new about the lake.
