 We finally got a peg in an area that was on our ‘ok’ list, not good, but not bad, so off we went to see where we would be fishing for the week. We had spent the past few days with Tom and Colin, and many other friends, catching up, telling stories, and dreaming of winning, great times - especially the ones spent in the company of Tom and Colin.

 Well made it to Salagou without any problems, it was warm and sunny but the wind was up, although given the way it was blowing down the lake meant it shouldn’t cause any problems getting to the swim.

 I have been a professional competition carp angler for 12 years, and have fished the World Carp Classic from its birth 11 years ago, only missing a few of the early events due to other commitments.

 Well there’s been a big change in the weather over the last couple of days, but just before the change had a take on the good old faithful left hand 30ft rod, slowly steady take and the fish kept taking more and more line and going ever deeper.
